A fresh first week of the new year, as promising as a crisp new notebook.
Each and every single moment I envision my life in this new year, two images pop to the forefront of my daydreams :: slow down and stay home.
I have no intention to ward off social interaction or stay Chicago-bound for the next twelve months. But the days of leaving for work at 7am and returning after 10pm are not welcome in my year. I begin a Saturday class on January 22 which causes a major hinderance in our habit of leaving town every weekend. I'm slowly coming around to feel this may be a blessing in disguise. A three hour commitment every Saturday will usher me into a state of being present, the ability to informally meet up with friends, and Sunday morning breakfast and naps in the sun room.
My world, my life, and my inner being fall into peaceful ambiance through days spent at home. I feel most productive, most fulfilled, and most happy.
Additionally, I've thoughtfully been contemplating my business goals for 2011, jotting down thoughts, and pondering my fourth year's handmade journey. While I'd love for expansion this year, I more envision a tightening of threads, reigning in loose ends, and running a more well-oiled machine.
In the spirit of list-making and goal-setting, I'd love to share what's on the horizon for greenie bean recycle in 2011.
