Jimmy and I attended our first Biz Arts Networking event tonight. It is a networking event for business people and artists in Rogers Park and I as I gather, it is also a collaborative of sorts. They were one of the main sponsors of the Glenwood Ave Arts Fest. We stayed for more than an hour and finally took off as it was semi-disappointing and Jimmy had to get ready for work. There was no formal introductions which seemed odd to us. However, we used the opportunity to talk with a community organizer from Family Matters here in Rogers Park. We also got to spend more time chatting with a woman and her husband [she took the goal setting course with me]. I am definitely willing to give it another try, however.
I have decided to take a four session course on "Starting your own small Business." It's offered by Jewish Vocational Services in Skokie. More information to come on this.
I am in the process of re-photographing all my totes and renewing their listings on etsy. I'm not super-motivated at this point as I'm still relaxing from GAAF, but I plan to do a few every day or so. Here is a sneak peek at today's renewals:
In other news, we have a fiesty new kitten named Killer who we are long-term cat sitting for. She is all paws and teeth at this point and never sleeps. I want her to cuddle with me.
Additionally, Jimmy and I are flying to DC this weekend to visit the lovely Mollie and Richard. I am so estactic to see this girl and miss her TERRIBLY!
More after the weekend.
