I ushered in my twenty-eighth year on a chilly Friday, March 15th. I began the day by sleeping in, rousing slowly, and presenting a workshop on Community Organizing for Food Justice at the Good Food Festival held at UIC. I enjoyed post-conference birthday drinks and a viewing of the new documentary Food Patriots before Jimmyredhed rode his bike down to Taylor Street and we noshed on delicious eats and drinks at Localicious. We ended the night tucked into our friend Becca's couch with a blanket and bottle of wine.
We spent Friday night playing Cards Against Humanity with some friends here at the Urban Farmhouse and had Jimmyredhed's family over on Sunday for a late lunch.
Jimmyredhed picked up materials at the Rebuilding Exchange to build me a cold frame which he worked on throughout the weekend ♥
