We're a week into January and my goal of completing the 'To Do' projects on my ironing board is well under way. I'm just popping in to share the latest projects ::

I finally dug into making a custom tee shirt tote for our friend Kate. She gave me her college tee shirts earlier this summer with the understanding it would be a project for the 'slow months' (there are few craft shows from January to April). It took about 6+ hours and I completed it last night. I first cut all the screens from the tee shirts and interfaced the backs for durability. Then I cut them to roughly the same size. Let's be honest, I don't measure. I first sewed them into strips or panels before sewing them together. The blocks are all top stitched as well.
As Jimmyredhed can attest, this quilt is uber warm as it's lined with two fleece throws and backed with wool (all thrifted materials).
Aside from the toppling piles of totes waiting to be made, I'd say I'm way ahead of schedule for my January goal.
