Well, the holiday weekend has come and gone. I must say that it was a pretty enjoyable weekend. We had friends over each day, went to the Taste of Chicago (I tried SHARK!), watched fire works on the roof of a Northwestern University building, and had a family BBQ. Pretty successful, I would say. Today, I sent an email to my email contacts list, telling you all that I started this blog. Maybe you are reading right now. Please comment to let me know that there is an audience! It is my goal to have every who reads this comment at least once. Welcome!
There are two things that I would like to share with you today. Last night I applied for the DIY Trunk Show at the Pulaski Park Field House on November 22. Jimmy, my mom, and I went last year and it was really cool! The email mentions that they only accept 95 vendors so my hopes are not too high. However, it would be sweet nonetheless.

Secondly, here is a sneak preview of a few bags I will be posting in the next few days. I personally think that the orange one screams "FARMERS MARKET!" The panels are upcycled dinner napkins that truly remind me of Thanksgiving dinner. I also love the subtly of the second, WORLD PEACE, tote. Bold yet feminine. As for the very first tote "JESUS IS MY HOMEBOY" many of you may remember me wearing this shirt during my FBC days. I received it for Easter one year and it was hard to part with. However, it has not seen the light of day in many years and this fabric was begging to be matched up with it. Be checking my shop for these totes in the next few days. The Jesus tote is already up!
