Today was a day like no other Saturdays. Can you believe I was up and out the door by 8:00 this morning? I had an errand to run and by the time I was finished, I was famished. I called the mister, who was just waking up, that I would like to make breakfast. We agreed on a fabulous spread of eggs, toast, and hashbrowns, a meal that is arguably my favorite. As I rounded the corner by our house, he called to tell me that we would be having company and to run to the fruit market. I picked up a few things for the meal and for the week. I was quite amused with myself at the items I picked up two kinds of organic yogurt (strawberry for me and Banilla for Red), potatoes, a tomato, granola, kaiser rolls, Garlic Roasted Cheddar, veggie-fed eggs, milk . . . and then two rolls of cookie dough! Hey! It was on sale and baking just isn't my thing!
By the time I got home, the hashbrowns were well under way and company was at the door. I whipped up the eggs and found the smiley face to bring a little happiness to our day.
